He spent Sunday night in the intensive care unit after doctors completed the task.

Goldson wrote a short post just after midnight to let fans know he's holding steady.

This was the second time in recent months he has needed significant operation.

The defender has now left hospital and is recovering at his house with his family nearby.

Clinicians have him under watch while he heals.
