London police came across a young marmoset inside a laundry bag on a bus last week. Staff spotted the lost animal on July 18. The animal was nervous and had no water while quivering. It endured the harsh ordeal. Animal advocates labeled it an illegal abandonment case. Meanwhile, researchers discovered a previously unknown monkey species in Congo’s Lomami National Park. The discovery occurred during a regular survey in the Congo Basin.
