IGN posted a report on August 27, 2026. Stories arrived that date. GameSpot carried the report. Polygon ran it too. They state the GTA 6 map is three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2. The map is twice as big as GTA 5. They term it Rockstar's most complex world yet.
Eurogamer gave those figures the same day. The game also has 600,000 unique animations. That is double the animation work that went into Red Dead Redemption 2. Players now have a direct look at how large the upcoming Rockstar game will be.
