Governor Gavin Newsom signed new laws to limit Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE activities in California. The laws include bans on police using electrically conductive gloves and protections for immigrant communities. These measures follow a recent case where a baby girl was found dead in a dumpster, leading to the mother's detention. The new legislation aim to address concerns about ICE operations and support immigrant communities.
