The Rugby Football Union plans to hand England head coach Steve Borthwick a contract extension. The proposed deal would retain him as head coach beyond the 2027 Rugby World Cup and through the 2028 Six Nations.
Borthwick would remain in charge of England at each tournament under the proposed agreement. His time in charge would continue after the next men's Rugby World Cup, before continuing through England's Six Nations campaign the following year.
The extension would keep him in the role after the 2028 tournament had concluded.
