A French visitor from the Var region passed away in Death Valley in the United States after his car broke down. The vehicle became stranded during an intense heatwave. The man walked away from his car and set off to seek help in the scorching heat. Temperatures reached 47 degrees Celsius at the time.

He tragically died while attempting to reach help. The tourist was travelling through Death Valley when his car suffered a mechanical fault during the heatwave. He was from the Var area in France. He abandoned his stuck car to look for aid in the 47 degree heat.
