A member of Israel's cabinet has threatened to revoke NAZA directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor of their citizenship. The film is about Gaza. The Israeli army is mulling legal action against them. Israel has labeled the documentary a blood libel.
Film workers have rallied behind the directors. More than 40 groups attached their names to a statement of support. Haaretz wrote Israel is going after the filmmakers rather than investigating Gaza war crimes. The newspaper argues the focus ought to be on possible army abuses, not the film.
