Essendon defender Jordan Ridley has been signed by Geelong, with the deal finalised on 7 October 2026. The trade sends utility Jack Bowes to Essendon along with four draft picks.
Ridley had been strongly connected to the Cats after Essendon placed a strong asking price on the defender. Essendon were unwilling to let him go cheaply throughout the trade period.
